Less that a month ago PokerStars parent company Amaya announced that they had acquired Victiv, a relatively unknown daily fantasy sports website. On Thursday, Amaya officially launched the DFS site as StarsDraft, effectively putting an end to the Victiv brand as of today. The move comes with just over a week before the first kickoff of the NFL season. An imminent change was signaled earlier in the day when Victiv players logging in saw only a “Victiv is evolving” message.
With today’s rebranding, Victiv players are now redirected to the new StarsDraft site. All marketing materials such as Twitter and Facebook pages have been switched over to the StarsDraft brand.
Players that went to StarsDraft were previously greeted with a message directing players to sign-up to Victiv. Today players are welcomed with this message:
We are excited to announce that Victiv has partnered with Amaya and the PokerStars brand to bring you the new StarsDraft.com.
We look forward to continuing to offer the same high standard of customer support, player engagement, and product innovation under our new brand.
All of your user details, balances, bonuses, and account information will remain the same. Click login below to experience the new StarsDraft.com!
Changes for Victiv Players
Players who previously played on Victiv, will have their accounts moved over to StarsDraft. There should be very little disruption, if any, with the change. Players will be able to access StarsDraft with Victiv credentials to view player balances, loyal status, bonuses and contest tickets.
Who Can Play StarsDraft?
You must be at least 18 years or older to play on StarsDraft. Real money contests are available to players located in every state EXCEPT Arizona, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, and Washington. Existing players of Canada and Michigan will be able to play for 120 days starting September 3rd.
What is StarsDraft Like Right Now?
Here is what the StarsDraft lobby looks like today, which is hardly changed from the Victiv look and feel.
StarsDraft will go into the hotly contested NFL season as one of he top five daily fantasy sports sites, still a great distance behind leaders DraftKings and FanDuel, but on the heels of Yahoo Daily Fantasy Sports and newcomer FantasyDraft.
StarsDraft will offer MLB, NFL and PGA contests for the time being. Also available in the lobby, but not in season, are NHL and NBA contests. Players can select from guaranteed, double up, heads up and “standard” daily leagues consisting of 6, 10 or 20 entries. A satellite tab is available in the lobby, but there are currently no contests available to join.
Its largest guaranteed NFL contest for Week 1 is the $100,000 First Down, which players can enter for $100,000. Also on tap for Week 1 is the $50,000 Lombardi ($100 buy-in) and the $20,000 Lambeau Double Up ($25 buy-in).
Players can deposit on to StarsDraft for real money via credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express). Alternatively, Paypal is available for players who have an account.
StarsDraft Bonus and Promotions
StarsDraft is launching with a 100% up to $250 sign-up bonus. Alternatively, to appeal to new and recreational players, an exclusive no deposit Bankroll Builder promotion is featured. Bankroll Builder awards players with 5 free Bankroll entry tickets, worth up to $15. StarsDraft Bankroll Builder contests will allow players to try out the games against the StarsDraft “computer” (non human players). Each time a player wins against the computer they will be given a free cash entry into StarsDraft’s Beginner head to head contests.
