A Look At The FanDuel Sportsbook In New Jersey

FanDuel Sportsbook In New Jersey

First it was the DraftKings Sportsbook; now it’s FanDuel. The popular daily fantasy sports has soft-launched a sportsbook in New Jersey over the weekend, becoming the 5th online sportsbook in the state. The move comes as companies clamber to get their products live before the start of the NFL season. A full launch of the FanDuel NJ Sportsbook is expected by the start of Week 1 of the NFL season.

A rapid expansion of sportsbetting in the U.S.

In going online live in New Jersey, FanDuel joins DrafKings, playMGM, SugarHouse, William Hill — which also launched over the weekend 00 as online sportsbooks operating in the state. FanDuel also has a brick and mortar presence in New Jersey at The Meadowlands.

With FanDuel’s launch in New Jersey, the brand — like DraftKings — is likely to use the product as a springboard into other states as sports betting expands across the United States. After the Supreme Court’s decision on sports betting earlier this summer, four states have already started offering sportsbetting. In addition to New Jersey, sports betting is now available in Delware, Mississippi and West Virginia with many more seemingly inevitable over the coming months and years.

The FanDuel Sportsbook is available to players through the FanDuel sportsbook website or via the FanDuel Sportsbook app on iOS and Android devices.

FanDuel and Paddy Power – a match made in heaven

FanDuel is obviously known as a sportsbook but behind the name, the company actually has a rich and storied sports betting history. That’s because FanDuel was recently acquired by Paddy Power Betfair, a mega-company that has offered sportsbooks online and in retail locations for many years.

FanDuel wants to be your “go-to” sportsbook for the 2018-2019 NFL season by combining the best of what players know from the DFS site to what Paddy Power Betfair has done right in the area of online sports betting.

In addition to the NFL, FanDuel offers betting lines for MLB, college football and tennis but also promises to offer betting lines for other major sports including NBA and NHL, with many more sports presumably to come.

FanDuel betting lines and other features

FanDuel is offering a variety of different types of betting lines. In addition to straight wagers, bettors can find other mainstays such as futures and props as part of their betting lines options. A full list — which promises to expand — can be seen below.

Live In-Play wagering is also available at launch, allowing sports bettors with nearly endless wagering opportunities while the games are happening.

With a respectable selection of betting lines and sports available to bettors, FanDuel is setting themselves up to be a big player in New Jersey and in other states when they go live.

FanDuel hopes that their new betting platform combined with simple, safe and fast payouts and “world class” customer support helps the sportsbook stand out. The good thing for New Jersey sports bettors is that at least five online sportsbooks are trying the best to show New Jersey bettors that they should be your sportsbook. And that’s a good thing.

Existing members of FanDuel in New Jersey can currently try out the sportsbook and receive a bonus of 200% up to $100.
