On November 4th, DraftKings will officially add Pennsylvania to its growing list of states where they will accept online sports wagers. On Wednesday, the online sportsbook’s license was officially approved by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, becoming the sixth online sportsbook in the state.
The DraftKings PA online sportsbook will open up for testing on Monday, which will likely be followed up by a full launch sometime later in the week.
The DraftKings online sportsbook first launched in New Jersey last year but in recent weeks has gone live in West Virginia and Indiana. The launch of DraftKings PA will mean that the online sportsbook will have a presence in four states. DraftKings is expected to expand to many other states as online sportsbetting legislation is passed elsewhere and DraftKings shores up partnerships with land-based casinos. In Pennsylvania, the DraftKings online sportsbook comes to the state through a partnership with Penn National, the owner of The Meadows and Hollywood Casino.
