Believe it or not, daily fantasy football is not over — there is still more more slate that combines the Pro Bowl and Super Bowl.
Yahoo is the latest daily fantasy sports site to enter the UK market, joining DraftKings and FanDuel.
Last week, Yahoo launched an initiative called “Fair Play,” which they believe will level the playing field for players and make the games more fair all players including limits to entries, opponent labeling and restrictions on scripts.
As the world’s most popular league starts its season, DraftKings is adding an impressive lineup of daily fantasy sports soccer contests. Meanwhile, Yahoo looks to start offering daily fantasy soccer.
Yahoo’s position as one of the largest fantasy sports sites in the world — not to mention one of the world’s most visited websites — does not appear to be shielding them from growing pains since the launch of their highly anticipated daily fantasy sports product on July 8th.
“You didn’t seriously expect Yahoo Sports to ignore the daily fantasy boom, did you?” That’s the word from Yahoo today upon today’s announcement that they had launched a new daily fantasy sports product called Yahoo Sports Daily Fantasy.
Yahoo.com announced during their 1st quarter earnings conference call that they plan to launch a daily fantasy sports product sometime this summer — just in time for the 2015 football season. They would bring their new product to an existing fantasy sports user base of six million.
