World Fantasy Pools Review And Bonus Code

World Fantasy Pools Review

World Fantasy Pools is new a daily fantasy sports site that is part of the World Fantasy Network. The site made its debut before the start of the 2019 NFL season.

Unlike standard DFS, World Fantasy Pools is a survivor-based league. That is, instead of picking a lineup of players, you select a player who can meet an achievement — and “survive” for the given week — every week until the number of rounds has been reached.

Since World Fantasy Pools represents a different type of DFS, there are a lot of users of the site who might not fully understand the games, which means the contests may provide more astute users with a unique opportunity to find an edge.

Users of World Fantasy Pools can take advantage of thousands of dollars in freerolls during the month of September. In October, the site is set to launch pay-to-play pools.

How to play World Fantasy Pools

First of all, due to the relatively complicated nature of the contests for those that have only played standard DFS, it might be worth playing a freeroll before joining or creating any real money contests. This is not to say this form of DFS is difficult to grasp; after playing a couple of contests, you should be able to get the hang of it.

While each contest can be a bit different depending on the parameters set, essentially you will be selecting single player(s) that you feel has the best chance of reaching the “Achievement” for the given round. At the end of the contest, if you are one of the World Fantasy Pools users with a player who reaches the final achievement, you will split the prize with those who remain

Let’s take a look at a contest to better explain how World Fantasy Pools works. In this case, we have a 4-Round QB focused survivor pool:

World Fantasy Pools Rules

For NFL Pools, the rounds are generally going to be week by week (versus a sport like MLB which will be daily). As you can see, with each passing week, the achievement requirement gets more difficult, so this will need to play a part in your strategy for subsequent weeks. Not only do you need to advance each week but you also need to put up a really good line for the final round. Also, keep in mind that you must select one player for each round, but you cannot use the same player twice.

World Fantasy Pools offers contests with and without Late Swap. Remember for contests that do not have late swap, that you must select players from all rounds before the start of the first contest.

If you fail to meet the stat line for a given week, you will be eliminated from the pool. If there is no World Fantasy Pools user to meet the stat achievement for the week, all users will move to the next round. If this occurs in the final round, all users will split the prize.

Other World Fantasy Pools rules

Note that there are also some important rules related to the contests that you should also be aware of. With World Fantasy Pools contests, as is the case with most forms of DFS, a pool must fill up for the contest to be valid. Fortunately, any contest that doesn’t meet the terms will be refunded.

There is one major exception to this rule — guaranteed contests. If you enter a guaranteed contest, it will pay out regardless of whether the guaranteed prize pool is met or not. Enter these contests with confidence!

How to create a World Fantasy Pools Pool?

In addition to joining an existing contest, you can be able to create one of your own, with contests ranging from 3 Round Pools to season-long contests.

After clicking the “Create Pool” button from the lobby, you will be asked to enter the criteria of your contest. Note that this feature is not available at launch but you will ultimately be able to adjust the following of your pool:

  • Pool Name
  • Max Players (2, 5, 10, 20, 30, 50, 100)
  • Buy-in ($1, $5, $10, $20, $30, $50, $100)
  • Prize (auto)
  • Pool type
  • Number of Rounds

When creating your pool, you can also create some unique round parameters. Options including the sport of your pool, the dates of the pool, games that are apart of the pool, the position of the players and the stat round achievement.

Note that in the case of all pools, except guaranteed contests, that they must be filled in order to get started.

Sports available

With World Fantasy Pools being a fairly new site, it’s mainly an NFL site at this point. In addition, the lobby also has menu tabs for NBA, and MLB. ¬†When World Fantasy Pools went live in the summer of 2019, contests tended to focus on NHL and MLB contests.

Before you join your contests, note that there is a big difference between weekly sports such as the NFL and daily sports like MLB on World Fantasy Pools. With multiple rounds in contests at World Fantasy Pools, contests will last weeks for NFL versus just a few days for MLB contests. Some DFS users who prefer more immediate gratification may see that as a big drawback .

World Fantasy Pools bonus

There is no World Fantasy Pools bonus to new players at this time. Instead, the DFS is focusing on freerolls to get the word out.

World Fantasy Pools promotions

World Fantasy Pools wants to get out the word about their new daily fantasy sports site. Even if you missed the $10,000 NFL Launch freeroll, you can still enjoy a variety of daily and weekly freeroll challenges for the MLB and NHL. While the word gets out about these contests, participation may be relatively light, so don’t be surprised to see some impressive value in these contests.

MLB contests include challenges for Run, Hits and Strikeouts, while NFL freeroll contests are separated by position. Select your running backs and quarterbacks to meet the posted thresholds to get a portion of the prize.
