How to Use FanDuel Mobile on iOS
Finding a Contest
As with any good mobile app, simplicity and ease of use is tantamount to a good user experience. The FanDuel mobile app doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of the desktop version, but you will still be able to the most important things such as join contests as well as create and edit your lineups.
In the “lobby” view, you will be given a list of the daily fantasy sports available at DraftKings and the number of contests available. Clicking on a sport, you will be given a list of slates for that sport.
Slates are effectively starting times and ending times for the contests. NFL slates are typically Thursday-Monday, Sunday-Monday, Sunday only, Sunday 1 PM only and Sunday night-Monday night.
When clicking on a slate, you will be given the choice of contest types – featured, league, 50/50, tournament, head to head and multipler. From this screen, you can also decide to create a head to head contest.
After selecting a contest type, you will be given a list of contests, which you can choose to filter by name, entries, size, entry fee or prizes. In addition to detailing this important contest data, contest details letting you know whether the contest is a multi-entry or guaranteed will also be provided. Once you enter a contest, a green triangle will appear signifying that you entered the contest.
Drafting a Team
After finding a contest to join, you will then need to fill out your lineup. It’s actually fairly easy moving between your lineup and the list of players. Setting your lineup takes just a minute or two if you know who you are taking.
Click the “+” sign to the player to add a player for that position. Search or scroll down to find the player you want to select and click the “+” again. If you change your mind about a player you can hit the blue “switch” icon to make a change. The player you select will automatically replace the previous player.
Submit your lineup when you are all done.
After Selecting your Lineup
When drafting for subsequent contests, you will be able to “import” previous lineups into contests with a single click when you are on the lineup page. To make changes for lineups that have already been submitted, you can go to “Upcoming” and make changes to a specific lineup or do a “quick player replace” for switching out players in multiple contests.
The whole fun of daily fantasy sports is watching your game live. To watch the action once the games start, go to the “Live” tab in the lobby to watch the scores of your contest once the games begin.
In addition to joining contests and creating your lineup, you can also add and withdraw funds straight from the app. This is what the My Account section looks like:
